Floridays – Life in Technicolor
Oversaturated—? Or simply, how I see it.
South Florida has always been a favorite destination since childhood.
While colors from old photos have faded, my earliest memories remain vivid—bright midcentury houses, bold fabrics on furnishings, vibrant clothing, and the glamorous makeup of the early seventies. As a quiet child among adults, I watched them entertain with Polynesian-style bar sets and tropical flair.
More recently, circumstances kept me in Ft. Lauderdale for nearly a year. Returning home now and then, I became aware of the striking contrast: the gray skies, bare trees, the muted landscapes of a New England winter.
Oversaturated? Simply, the way I see South Florida.
